It's Monday! What are you Reading?

I’m joining Jen & Kellee (and many other bloggers) in discussing what we are reading this week. Join us! Go to their site and link up your own blog.

It’s Monday and it’s #BOOKADAY! I’m so glad that Christmas break is here. I have FINALLY read some of those books I’ve been meaning to read for months. I’ve read so many amazing books over the past week (since break started - 12/22). Here’s the list:

My favorite would be a tie between Starry River of the Sky and False Prince – but really, they were all terrific!

On to this week’s plans. Need to finish up my stack of books I MUST read (including Cavendish Home for Boys and Girls, On the Day I Died, Summer and Bird, and Raven Boys. If I still have time – who knows what I’ll pick out of the to read shelves. J

And I'm making a new reading goal for 2013. 300 books was my goal this year. With one day to go I hit 506. Woo hoo! Debating goals for next year right now.

Happy Reading!

  1. Wow! What an amazing reading week you had! I am anxiously awaiting Starr River from the library. I have heard a lot about The False Prince. Not sure I want to get into a trilogy just now. Happy New Year Katherine!

  2. Wow-lots to remember here. I have Three Times Lucky to listen to, so hope I get to it this week. And Bomb is on my list too. I gave it to my grandson for Christmas, but there is a copy at school too. Happy New Year Katherine!

  3. You read some of my favourites this week! My entire family listened to The False Prince as an audio book on a summer trip. We cannot even mention that there will be a second title coming soon without arguments about who gets to read it first! My daughter received Spindlers as a Christmas gift but we may do it as a family read aloud as my son was also intrigued. I am also rethinking my Goodreads goal! I find it so motivating. Happy reading in 2013!

  4. I love how you used a screen shot from Good Reads for this post! Clever! Way to rack up the titles for an amazing reading year!

Hi there Katherine! I also have This Moose Belongs to Me by Oliver Jeffers for my Monday reading. I lovelovelove it. Jeffers is a genius. Starry River of the Sky also looks like a delightful read. I've also been seeing Splendors and Glooms quite a lot recently, maybe in time I'd get to that too. :) Enjoy the rest of your reading week and have a great year ahead!
